about
Suzanne is a passionate and creative professional photographer who specialises primarily in children’s and family portraiture. Her style is relaxed, natural and informal, capturing those wholesome, candid moments that encapsulate the essence of childhood.
“Anyone who has children knows that it slips away all too fast. Life has a way of getting quite busy and before we know it, in the blink of an eye, we turn around and those gorgeous, precious, powder-scented bundles have become temperamental (though still quite loveable) teenagers!
It’s gone in just a heartbeat. Every day of childhood is so precious, so new, so uncharted.
Unfortunately, all too often, we tend to look back with some regret that we didn’t record all of those special ‘first’ moments, or take the time to make a journal of all those priceless quirky things they said as their language developed.
What I love about my job is that I get to witness and record some of those moments. But what I aim to do is not just to record a moment in time but to really capture the essence of one’s character.
The greatest satisfaction for me comes when I see the tears well in a parent’s eyes as they see the nature and spirit of their very special child expressed within a timeless, lasting and tangible memento.
I really love what I do and I feel honoured to be able to do it.”
Formally trained, Suzanne has a Bachelor of Arts in Photography from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and is an emerging member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers (AIPP).
